Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has admitted he wants Arsenal<\/a> to win the Premier League title. The former centre-back has also revealed that he will send a text message to congratulate Gunners midfielder Declan Rice<\/a> if they become champions.<\/p>\n Mikel Arteta’s side are in a good position to win their first top-flight title since 2004. The Gunners currently sit four points clear of second-placed Manchester City after 26 games.<\/p>\n There is now genuine optimism in north London that Arsenal will finally win the league title after finishing runners-up in three previous seasons. Arteta’s men have 12 matches left to play, but will be wary of tough matches to come against Chelsea and Manchester City<\/a>.<\/p>\n And Ferdinand has had his say on the prospect of Arsenal winning the title. If Arsenal win it, I’ll be happy.<\/p>\n “I’ll be sending Declan Rice a text. He believes neither team holds an advantage in that respect.<\/p>\n He added: “That’s the thing that messes things up. It’s the mental games now, like, who’s playing first?<\/p>\n “If City play first and win, it’s one point before a ball’s kicked – pressure’s on. It’s different.<\/p>\n “But I’ve looked at both of the runs, and I don’t think there’s much difference between them.
