\n\tNo drip feed of ambassador announcements from Balenciaga<\/a>, which on Tuesday unveiled 11 new faces in one go \u2014 and with a campaign<\/a> featuring them already in the can.<\/p>\n

\n\tActors Winona Ryder, Harris Dickinson and Roh Yoonseo headline the list of ambassadors, while seven individuals were anointed \u201cfriends of the house:\u201d American actors Danielle Deadwyler of \u201cThe Woman in the Yard\u201d and Havana Rose Liu of \u201cBottoms,\u201d British musician Labrinth, Canadian actor Hudson Williams of \u201cHeated Rivalry,\u201d and the models Mona Tougaard, Loli Bahia, Ned Sims and Sen Samysheva, the latter two exclusive to Balenciaga<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThese are the first ambassador appointments by Balenciaga creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli<\/a>, who described them all as \u201chuman beings with distinct stories, faces marked by experience, vulnerability and nuance. I was not looking for constructed personas, but for real presence.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSharing the appointments exclusively with WWD, he went on to describe \u201ca new community \u2014 different, yet connected by shared values: respect, sensitivity, strength, freedom.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy work in this maison is always about the people who wear the clothes \u2014 how they move, how they feel, how they exist in the world. I want the garments to bring ease and confidence, never to overpower. The person wears the clothing, not the opposite,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\n\tPiccioli conscripted David Sims to photograph this new crew in his debut spring 2026 collection, scheduled for delivery Tuesday in select Balenciaga boutiques and at balenciaga.com, though the menswear looks from the pre-fall 2026 collection.<\/p>\n

\n\tBalenciaga is planning a coed show during Paris Fashion Week on March 7.<\/p>\n

\n\tYoonseo said the set and space for the campaign<\/a> shoot \u201cfelt like a scene from a film. Wearing Balenciaga makes me feel chic, creative, and a little playful. The attitude lives in the dress, and it brings it out of me effortlessly \u2014 like I\u2019ve become the protagonist.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe South Korean model and actress is probably best known for the TV series \u201cOur Blues\u201d and \u201cCrash Course in Romance\u201d and such films as \u201c20th Century Girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStar of \u201cStranger Things\u201d and the \u201cBeetlejuice\u201d film franchise, Ryder lauded Piccioli\u2019s designs: \u201cYou can see the influence of real, hundred-year-old couture, but it\u2019s done in such a modern way. His approach to fashion and humanity really speak to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLabrinth said the Paris-based fashion house and Piccioli \u2014 who had conscripted him to perform at the spring 2022 couture show of Valentino, the Italian designer\u2019s prior job \u2014 both embody an appreciation for artistry.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat means this is more than fashion; it\u2019s world-building,\u201d said Labrinth, who won several Primetime Emmys for his work on the \u201cEuphoria\u201d series. \u201cAs an artist, creativity is infinitely important to me, so to be a part of this house where that is so much of its DNA, it feels right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWilliams, who burst onto the cultural radar for his portrayal of a hockey player with the secret hots for a key Russian rival, confessed that he\u2019s \u201cstill kind of in disbelief that I get to be a small part of this next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to Williams, the spring campaign \u201cisn\u2019t just about fashion \u2014 it\u2019s about identity and having the
confidence to show up as yourself without compromise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDickinson, who catapulted to prominence opposite Nicole Kidman in the 2024 film \u201cBabygirl,\u201d drew a parallel between movies and fashion.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn the roles I choose to play and the stories I\u2019m drawn to as a filmmaker, what matters most is character and humanity, how we navigate change, tension and growth,\u201d he said. \u201cPierpaolo brings that same depth and emotional truth to his work. It\u2019s clear that creative freedom and authenticity are essential to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSims captured Balenciaga\u2019s new faces at close and further range. Piccioli described it as \u201ca place where time feels paused. In that stillness, identity becomes clearer and connection becomes possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
