Manchester United have reportedly made it clear whether they will re-negotiate a transfer fee for Marcus Rashford\u2019s proposed move to Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Rashford<\/a> signed for Barcelona<\/a> on a season-long loan deal from Man United<\/a> in the summer of 2025, having fallen out with then-Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since then, the England international has impressed at the Catalan club, registering 10 goals and 13 assists in 34 appearances for Hansi Flick\u2019s side, who currently sit second in La Liga, trailing Real Madrid by two points with 12 matches remaining.<\/p>\n

Barca are currently covering all of Rashford\u2019s reported \u00a3315,000 per week salary and, as reported by the Mail<\/a>, are expected to trigger the permanent option in his loan deal.<\/p>\n

The outlet reports that both clubs have agreed on a \u00a326 million transfer fee; however, there has been some speculation that Barca want to re-negotiate the fee to a lower amount.<\/p>\n

However, as reported by ESPN<\/a>, United have rejected the suggestions and still expect to receive the agreed fee if the England international does, in fact, make his current loan move permanent this summer.<\/p>\n

Rashford, who is contracted to United until the summer of 2028, reportedly wants to remain in Spain despite Michael Carrick taking over from Amorim as United head coach in January.<\/p>\n

ESPN claims that Carrick did consider bringing Rashford back to Old Trafford, although he hasn’t voiced his feelings to the club\u2019s football department.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old forward has also made clear his intention to stay at Barca beyond this season during a December interview with Spanish outlet SPORT<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I want is to stay at Barca,” Rashford explained.<\/p>\n

“That’s the ultimate goal, but it’s not the reason I train hard and give my all. The purpose is to win. From the moment I arrived, I felt very welcome. For me, the reason I’m here is to help the team win trophies.”<\/p>\n

Then in January, Barca boss Flick described Rashford\u2019s performances for the club as \u201creally good\u201d before saying that it was Deco’s \u2013 Barca\u2019s sporting director \u2013 job to deal with transfers for next season.<\/p>\n

“We have to wait. We have months to go,\u201d Flick said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, of course, with Marcus we have a player on the top level, but also with our situation, and what I appreciate a lot from him<\/p>\n

“This is what I want to say to young players from La Masia: We are Bar\u00e7a, and we are one of the best teams in the world.
