Arsenal are believed to be preparing for an expansion of the Emirates Stadium.<\/p>\n

Arsenal are very bankable just now. They\u2019re successful, we\u2019re top of the table. They\u2019re in all the competitions right now. I haven\u2019t checked the bookies today, but I think there\u2019s still even odds for the quadruple. They\u2019re very bankable.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cBut they\u2019ll be looking right now also at the view of the re-engineering of the Emirates, which is the big project they\u2019re going to be looking at. And now that\u2019s sort of all been paid down to a great degree with some leeway and some headroom. <\/p>\n \u201cSo they\u2019re going to go again and keep themselves relevant in terms of the stadium situation. So I think that\u2019s the bigger picture compared to the finances, how they structure that and having a stable relationship with Barclays won\u2019t hurt.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more: Exclusive: Arsenal\u2019s stadium plan revealed as Stan Kroenke plots new move<\/a><\/p>\n How big could Arsenal grow the Emirates?<\/p>\n According to The Guardian<\/a> on 7 October 2025, Arsenal have been exploring the possibility of expanding the Emirates to 70,000.<\/p>\n Currently, the stadium can hold 60,700 spectators, which makes it one of the biggest grounds in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, if this ambition were realised, only Old Trafford would hold more at 74,879.<\/p>\n Arsenal are unlikely to have any trouble filling out a 70,000-seater ground either, with more than 100,000 supporters on the waiting list for a season ticket.<\/p>\n Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the expansion becomes a reality over the coming years. <\/p>\n
