New plot details for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day have been revealed, including a time jump in the Tom Holland-starring sequel<\/a>. As spotted by Screen Rant<\/a>, Barnes & Noble<\/a> shared a listing for the upcoming Art Of The Movie book by Jess Harrold, which comes with a plot synopsis for the movie.<\/p>\n

It confirms that the Phase Six movie<\/a> will take place four years after the events of 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.<\/p>\n

The synopsis reads: “Four years have gone by since we last caught up with our friendly neighborhood hero. Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man is at the top of his game, keeping New York City safe. <\/p>\n

“Things are going well for our anonymous hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he\u2019s ever faced before. In order to take on what\u2019s ahead, Spider-Man not only needs to be at the top of his physical and mental game, but he must also be prepared to face the repercussions of his past.”<\/p>\n

Brand New Day is the first of a new trilogy of Spider-Man films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe starring Holland, who first appeared as the character in 2016 in Captain America: Civil War.<\/p>\n

Destin Daniel Cretton is helming the latest movie, which stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Col\u00f3n-Zayas, Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo, among others.<\/p>\n

It was confirmed last December that filming for the project had wrapped<\/a>, with Cretton sharing an emotional message on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m so deeply grateful for the people who walked with me through the biggest, most rewarding film I\u2019ve ever been a part of,” he began.<\/p>\n

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 31 July, 2026.<\/p>\n
