A Good Morning Britain<\/a> star has spoken out about their future on the ITV<\/a> show following the channel\u2019s daytime cuts.<\/p>\n ITV announced a shock schedule switch-up last year due to budget cuts<\/a>. The changes, which affect ITV Studios, reportedly result in the loss of more than 220 jobs, nearly half of the 440 staff currently working across these programmes.<\/p>\n The most notable <\/a>change is to Lorraine<\/a>, which is now reduced from 1 hour to 30 minutes and will air only 30 weeks a year, down from the current 52.<\/p>\n This Morning<\/a> will remain unchanged in terms of length and frequency, while Good Morning Britain<\/a> will be extended by 30 minutes, running from 6am to 9:30am.<\/p>\n GMB has undergone major changes recently(Image: ITV)<\/p>\n What\u2019s more, due to the changes, ITV studios have moved from their original home to a smaller studio, with GMB opening up their first show of 2026<\/a> in the new studios, with Susanna Reid<\/a> and Ed Balls kicking off the new year.<\/p>\n However, whilst marking this new chapter, several ITV presenters have bid farewell to the show<\/a>, including Richard Gaisford, Faye Barker and Zoe Muldoon. Show regular Andrew Pierce also left after 10 years.<\/p>\n But now, amid all the changes, one beloved member of staff at Good Morning Britain has revealed their future, after not appearing on the programme for several months.<\/p>\n Katy revealed her future on the show<\/p>\n **For the latest showbiz, TV, movie and streaming news, go to the new **Everything Gossip<\/a>** website**<\/p>\n Journalist Katy Rickitt joined the long-running ITV show way back in 2012 as a news correspondent, and has covered a range of stories ever since.<\/p>\n And this week, Katy was quizzed on Instagram<\/a>: \u201cYou not on GMTV atm?\u201d referring to Good Morning Britain. Katy then replied: \u201cI’m there next week, lovely, just a quiet couple of months.\u201d<\/p>\n She joined the programme over 10 years ago<\/p>\n Away from the programme, Katy is married to actor Adam Rickitt, who is best known for playing Nick Tilsley on ITV\u2019s long-running soap Coronation Street<\/a> from 1997 to 2004.<\/p>\n The pair first met when Katy interviewed Adam on GMB back in 2011.
