\n\t\u201cAnora\u201d breakout Mark Eydelshteyn<\/a> has landed his first English-language role since Sean Baker\u2019s Palme d\u2019Or- and multiple Oscar-winning film, starring alongside fast-rising actor Esther McGregor<\/a> (\u201cBabyGirl,\u201d \u201cThe Room Next Door\u201d) in \u201cBecoming Capa.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film \u2014\u00a0written and directed by Charlotte Colbert (\u201cShe Will\u201d) \u2014\u00a0has now wrapped after shooting on location in Bilbao, Madrid and Paris. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBecoming Capa\u201d \u2014 described as a \u201ctale of love, audacity and defiance against a world in political turmoil\u201d \u2014\u00a0tells the story of celebrated war photographers Gerda Taro and Robert Capa. Alongside McGregor and Eydelshteyn, the cast includes Emily Carey (\u201cGeek Girl\u201d), William Gao (\u201cHeartstopper\u201d), Nabhaan Rizwan (\u201cKaos,\u201d \u201cIn Camera\u201d), Rossy de Palma (\u201cParallel Mothers\u201d), Mathieu Demy (\u201cOn The Verge\u201d), Bruno Gouery (\u201cEmily in Paris\u201d), with Cl\u00e9mence Po\u00e9sy (\u201cIn Bruges,\u201d \u201cTenet\u201d) and Danny Huston (\u201cYellowstone\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tNow in post-production in London, the film has brought together an impressive array of producers in Andrea Cornwell at Lobo Films (\u201cWicker,\u201d Love Lies Bleeding,\u201d \u201cSaint Maud\u201d); Chris Curling at Zephyr Films (\u201cThe Last Station,\u201d \u201cThe Miracle Club,\u201d \u201c\u201dDaliland\u201d); and British filmmaking icon Jeremy Thomas<\/a> at Recorded Picture Company, best known for \u201cThe Last Emperor\u201d as well as long collaborations with directors such as David Cronenberg, Stephen Frears and Takashi Miike.<\/p>\n

\n\tBehind the camera, the \u201cBecoming Capa\u201d creative team includes Oscar-winning production designer Eugenio Caballero (\u201cPan\u2019s Labyrinth,\u201d \u201cRoma,\u201d \u201cThe Impossible\u201d); director of photography Pawel Pogorzelski (\u201cHereditary,\u201d \u201cMidsommer,\u201d \u201cBeau is Afraid\u201d); Oscar-winning make-up designer Stephanie Guillon (\u201cThe Substance\u201d); and editor Sam Sneade (\u201cI Swear,\u201d \u201cSexy Beast,\u201d \u201cBirth\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tCharlotte Colbert made her feature debut with the BIFA-nominated \u201cShe Will\u201d starring Alice Krige, Malcolm McDowell and Rupert Everett, which won the Golden Leopard for best debut at Locarno. As an artist, her work has been shown in public spaces, galleries, art fairs and institutions internationally, including the V&A, Montpellier Contemporain, Frieze, Museum of Egypt in Cairo and Art Basel. This year, she is set to have new large-scale public works installed in Manhattan, New York City, Dallas and along the Grand Canal in Venice for the Art Biennale.<\/p>\n
