Mysterious VHS tapes are at the center of upcoming horror movie Play House, with Deadline<\/a> reporting that Divide\/Conquer (M3GAN, Heart Eyes) will executive produce the project.<\/p>\n

In the upcoming film from director Nicolas Curcio, \u201cElliot buys a dilapidated house in an attempt to prove to his ex he can finally be a serious adult. While renovating the property, he uncovers VHS tapes of an unaired children\u2019s television show hidden in the basement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat initially appears to be a disturbing DIY kids\u2019 program soon pulls him into obsessive madness, revealing that the tapes \u2014 and the house itself \u2014 may have a far more sinister backstory.\u201d<\/p>\n

Will Harrison (Daisy Jones & The Six), Jessica Sula (Split), Jordan Gonzalez (The Long Walk), and James Urbaniak (Oppenheimer) will star in the \u201cmicro-budget\u201d horror movie.<\/p>\n

Deadline reports that Play House is currently in production in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Nicolas Curcio wrote the screenplay with Kirby Gladstein. Deadline notes, \u201cPlay House was the inaugural winner of Fantastic Pitches, a micro-budget genre initiative spearheaded by Fantastic Fest and Chroma, which awarded the team $100,000 in production financing.\u201d<\/p>\n
