Stein to direct a \u201cVenom\u201d animated feature.<\/p>\n<p>Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, who worked on the \u201cVenom\u201d films, will produce the project, which is still in the early development stages.<\/p>\n<p>Former \u201cVenom\u201d film trilogy star Tom Hardy is said to be involved in some capacity, but it is unclear whether he would produce or even return to voice the character.<\/p>\n<p>No writer is currently attached but a writer\u2019s room is being opened to develop a script and\/or pitches for the film.<\/p>\n<p>The character was introduced in 1988 and quickly became a fan favorite.
