Liam Gallagher has thrown down the gauntlet when it comes to recording new music with brother Noel Gallagher, following the huge success of their Live 25 tour<\/p>\n

Could an Oasis reunion be on the cards? Well, judging by Liam Gallagher<\/a>\u2019s latest hint, Definitely Maybe. Liam\u2019s Oasis may record new music for the first time in two decades – but he insists it would have to sound like the Sex Pistols. The band are believed to be planning to announce a string of new dates across the UK, Europe and North America next year – following their mammoth tour in 2025.<\/p>\n

And Liam hinted they could be playing new tunes, telling fans: \u201cIf we ever made any new music it\u2019d have to sound like the pistols or I\u2019m not interested.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pals say brother Noel has been busy writing new music, with a view to recording later this year.<\/p>\n

Liam and Noel\u2019s tumultuous relationship famously saw Oasis break up 15 years ago following backstage bust-ups, walk-outs and booze-fuelled arguments. Oasis officially reunited for the massive \u2018Oasis Live 25\u2019 tour, which began in July 2025 in Cardiff, with gigs around the world<\/a> finishing last November.<\/p>\n

With no new fall outs, the band is now said to eager to keep going with new music and another tour.<\/p>\n

Noel is set to receive a major honour at the Brit Awards – in his home town of Manchester – at the end of the month.<\/p>\n

He will be awarded this year\u2019s Songwriter of the Year award, and is expected to be among a string of big names in attendance for the ceremony. Stacey Tang, Chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and Co-President of RCA Records at Sony Music UK said: \u201cFor more than three decades, Noel has crafted songs that have become part of our collective story – bold, brilliant, and always recognisable.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis songs have soundtracked memories for multiple generations and defined the spirit of British music globally.\u201d<\/p>\n
