{"id":439569,"date":"2026-02-22T12:07:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T12:07:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/439569\/"},"modified":"2026-02-22T12:07:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T12:07:07","slug":"knife-angel-visit-to-plymouth-will-be-catalyst-for-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/439569\/","title":{"rendered":"Knife Angel visit to Plymouth &#8216;will be catalyst for education&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez said the Knife Angel was an &#8220;impactful way of reaching out to young people, organisations and the community&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;My office&#8217;s recent survey of young people and adults identified they worried about people carrying weapons on our streets,&#8221; she added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The more we can do to deter people from carrying a knife and show that we act to prevent their concerns, the better.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Sally Haydon, cabinet member for community safety at Plymouth City Council, said: &#8220;Plymouth does not face a knife\u2011crime crisis, and overall incidents here remain comparatively low.
