Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a> is said to be keen on reconnecting with Prince Harry<\/a> but Meghan Markle<\/a> is “disgusted by him”, an insider has said. The 66-year-old \u2013 who was arrested on Thursday\u00a0on suspicion of misconduct in public office<\/a> \u2013 is said to believe that both he and Harry, 41, share the feeling of being sidelined by the Royal Family<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As reported by The News<\/a>, a palace insider has said: “Andrew is feeling a lot of kinship towards Harry. In his view, they are both ‘spares’ that have been terribly mistreated. Andrew still can’t believe his own brother and family have turned on him this way, and now he sees they\u2019ve done it to Harry, too.”<\/p>\n

Speaking of Andrew’s view, they added: “In his view, that ought to bond them \u2014 even though they\u2019ve never been close in the past.”<\/p>\n

Sources have revealed that, while Harry could be open to the idea, Meghan has made her feelings about Andrew very clear. The sources said: “The issue that he’s going to face is that Meghan is disgusted by him. She thinks he’ll tarnish her brand [As Ever] and will want nothing to do with him \u2013 and what she says goes when it comes to Harry.”<\/p>\n

Harry, who stepped down as a senior working royal in 2020, now resides in the US with Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.<\/p>\n

Andrew has consistently denied all allegations put to him, nor has he been charged.<\/p>\n
