Chris Davies is refusing to look too closely at the Championship table after Birmingham City<\/a> moved closer to the play-off places.<\/p>\n Victory at Norwich on Saturday<\/a> extended Blues\u2019 unbeaten run to eight league matches and moved them up to seventh in the table, two points shy of sixth-placed Wrexham.<\/p>\n Buoyed by a January window which saw six new players added to their squad, Blues have hit form in the Championship and supporters are starting to dream of back-to-back promotions.<\/p>\n Ensure our latest headlines always appear at the top of your Google Search<\/a><\/p>\n However, with only seven points between sixth and 16th, Davies<\/a> isn\u2019t taking Blues\u2019 current position for granted.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so congested and you can throw a blanket over so many teams,\u201d said Davies. \u201cI tend not to look at the league table too much.<\/p>\n \u201cOnce you get to the last five or six games it will be a lot clearer but we\u2019re in the mixer, as many teams are.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you said to me at the start of the season we would be here with 13 games to go I would be absolutely happy with that.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got to go for each game because there are a lot of good teams.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were in League One last year, as I keep reminding everyone, we came up on this adventure to try and be as successful as we can and we\u2019ve given ourselves a chance.\u201d<\/p>\n Davies is confident Blues have sussed out the Championship now and will have a strong end to the season.<\/p>\n The question is whether they can finish well enough to make up for a seven-game stretch in December which saw Blues take just three points from a possible 21.<\/p>\n Davies added: \u201cThe players are confident and enjoying what they\u2019re doing, what we don\u2019t need to do is start focusing on every point, this and that, because the league\u2019s too unpredictable.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got 13 games to go and I\u2019m confident we will finish strong, that\u2019s what I will say.
