\n Actress Beverley Callard, best known for playing Liz McDonald, revealed she was going under the knife on Friday (February 20).\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI went to the hospital, and they wanted to talk to me about the lymph nodes and the lymph glands,” the 68-year-old said.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThey are pretty sure it is not in the lymph nodes, but they are going to take two out on Friday when I have the operation to make sure, so it\u2019s quite a big operation I\u2019m having, but I trust them completely.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The star first shared the news that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer while on the Late Late\u00a0Show\u00a0in Ireland on February 6.\n<\/p>\n
\n This weekend, Callard announced that she’d had “minor complications” that kept her in hospital overnight.\n<\/p>\n
\n After the operation on Friday, Callard updated fans on social media and said: \u201cUpdate again, I\u2019m home.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI was supposed to come home yesterday but they decided to keep me in overnight due to minor complications.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe nurses were calling me pale and passionate, I don\u2019t know about passionate, but I am very pale.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI\u2019m feeling OK I had a bit of a cry as you do, but I\u2019m OK.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Callard then went on to praise the staff at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and showcased a bag made by the nan of nurse Josh, to keep the operation drain bottle in.\n<\/p>\n
\n The 68-year-old had previously expressed how the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital staff have been supportive throughout her journey.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI have to tell you it\u2019s the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, all NHS obviously, and they are truly amazing.\n<\/p>\n
