Singer Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, aka Simi, has slammed Nigerians for digging up her posts in which she was fawning over the penis of a four-year-old boy. The singer was 24 years old when she made the posts.<\/p>\n

The disturbing posts were made between 2012 and 2015.<\/p>\n

In one of the posts, Simi said, \u201cThis 4 years old boy\u2019s D is good. I\u2019m not sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement on Sunday, the 37-year-old singer said she was not famous when she made the disturbing tweets and accused her critics of being a \u201cfaceless mob\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t been on Twitter today \u2013 but someone brought a few of my old tweets to my attention, and I can\u2019t not address it. 14 years ago, I was 23, so I was definitely not a child. I\u2019m not here to make excuses because I don\u2019t have anything to make excuses for. What I can\u2019t let anyone do is twist my story to fit false narratives.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2012, I lived and helped out at my mom\u2019s daycare while I was hustling my music. I tweeted everything that happened in my life, as we all did at the time. Kids can be mischievous. If a child did something I found funny, I tweeted about it. Kids are cute and lovable. I want to hug, kiss and cuddle them. I tweet about it. Nothing I tweeted was from perversion,\u201d Simi said.<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI was not famous, so maybe if I was, I would have understood that anything is open to whatever interpretation, including being used falsely by a faceless mob. I\u2019ve never been depraved in my life. You can retweet all the tweets in the world about me loudly crushing on people I admire\/d. Or being a cheeky young woman. I wasn\u2019t trying to hide it, because I don\u2019t have anything to hide.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nigerians on X began digging up sexually inappropriate tweets made by Simi over the past few days in the wake of TikToker Mirabel\u2019s false rape claim.<\/p>\n

In her explicit tweets made between 2012 and 2015, the singer disclosed her obsession with kissing little children at her mother\u2019s daycare centre.<\/p>\n

On March 14, 2012, she tweeted, \u201cDavid has a crush on me. He kips comn close; actin lik he wana lock lips n den he puts his head on my lap.Shd I giv him a chance? P.S: Hes 4.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOk so dis 4 year old kid is lying next to me\u2026\u2026practically almost kissing me cos he\u2019s gazing in2 my fone *blink* I\u2019m nt abt 2brk d boys heart,\u201d Simi tweeted on February 17, 2012.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love to kiss d kids at my mum\u2019s daycare \u2013 they\u2019re super adorable and I\u2019m crazy about \u2018em,\u201d Simi posted on X on June 1, 2013. \u201cI think I\u2019m slightly obsessed with this child. instagram.com\/p\/9YyGF3n8Zm\/,<\/a>\u201d her October 28, 2015 tweet stated.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, several of the posts have been deleted.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy team has been deleting some of my tweets because of how sensitive it is for my family. To be honest, I did not want to. I have always spoken against rape and sexual assault even before you knew I existed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not a costume I\u2019m wearing, it\u2019s who I am. I\u2019ve never claimed to be perfect. I\u2019ve never claimed to know everything. I said stop raping women. I stand by it,\u201d said Simi.<\/p>\n
