{"id":442093,"date":"2026-02-24T00:42:30","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T00:42:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/442093\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T00:42:30","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T00:42:30","slug":"ipswich-hospitals-medical-care-requires-improvement-says-cqc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/442093\/","title":{"rendered":"Ipswich Hospital&#8217;s medical care &#8216;requires improvement&#8217; says CQC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Two services at Ipswich Hospital require work to improve, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The health watchdog inspected the hospital in September and lowered the rating for medical care from &#8220;good&#8221; to &#8220;requires improvement&#8221;, urgent and emergency services stayed at the &#8220;requires improvement&#8221; rating. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The CQC said it had found there were staff and capacity shortages which led to long waits for some patients.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT), which runs the hospital, said it &#8220;acknowledges and welcomes the CQC&#8217;s feedback&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two services at Ipswich Hospital require work to improve, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has said.
