{"id":442315,"date":"2026-02-24T03:44:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T03:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/442315\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T03:44:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T03:44:07","slug":"devin-haneys-hit-list-two-champions-three-undefeated-rivals-and-a-british-star","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/442315\/","title":{"rendered":"Devin Haney&#8217;s hit list: two champions, three undefeated rivals and a British star"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/devin-haney\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Devin Haney<\/a>\u2019s father and trainer, Bill Haney, has named six potential opponents that his son could face in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The Dream\u2019 claimed his WBO welterweight title in November, securing a second-round knockdown before <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/brian-norman-vs-devin-haney-scorecard\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">unanimously outpointing and dethroning Brian Norman Jr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In doing so, the 27-year-old became a three-division world champion and cemented himself as a top 10 pound-for-pound star, with many considering him the flagship fighter at 147lbs.<\/p>\n<p>But despite having only just made his mark on the welterweight division, Haney must now turn his attention towards a selection of fearsome rivals.<\/p>\n<p>Top of his list, according to Bill, is Gervonta \u2018Tank\u2019 Davis, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/boxing\/breaking-news\/article\/gervonta-davis-stripped-of-wba-lightweight-title-following-arrest-warrant-over-domestic-violence-claim-213519409.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">stripped of his WBA lightweight title<\/a> last month following a series of domestic violence charges. Even if the controversial Davis returns to the sport, he would face a big size disadvantage against Haney.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere on the list is WBO super-lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson, yet the four-division world champion has said he would only fight Haney at a catchweight of 144lbs, or at welterweight with a 10lbs rehydration clause.<\/p>\n<p>Even so, it appears the American has afforded himself plenty of alternative options, with Bill Haney revealing several of them to <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/92UBjbNCLP8?si=3ztsA4dm0DYVT_8W\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ALL THE SMOKE FIGHT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think \u2018Tank\u2019 is at the top of [Devin\u2019s list], maybe Shakur is next.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJaron Ennis; Conor Benn might be on there towards the bottom. I think Ryan Garcia is No.10; Brian Norman was on there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeyshawn Davis is on there too.
