An iconic image of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor after his arrest has been “hung” in the Louvre by activists.<\/p>\n
Anti-billionaire group Everyone Hates Elon mounted the photo on a wall inside the Paris art museum on Sunday.<\/p>\n
In a message to ITV News, the group wrote: “They say: ‘Hang it in the Louvre’. So we did.<\/p>\n
“We wanted to show the former Prince Andrew how the world will remember him – by hanging this iconic arrest photo in one of the world’s most famous museums.<\/p>\n
“Let’s hope this is just the beginning.”<\/p>\n
Everyone Hates Elon uploaded a video to social media, showing the photograph mounted on a wall in the Louvre.<\/p>\n
It was on display for around an hour before being taken down, according to the group.<\/p>\n
The Louvre museum has said it will not comment on the incident.<\/p>\n
Accompanying the photo was a caption reading “He’s Sweating Now”, referencing a BBC interview in 2019 where the former prince attempted to defend himself against allegations of sexual abuse. <\/p>\n
Responding to an accuser saying he had been “profusely sweating” on the night of his alleged crime, Mountbatten-Windsor said he has a “peculiar medical condition”<\/a> which makes him unable to sweat.<\/p>\n Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n The image of Andrew, taken after his arrest, was mounted on a wall in the Louvre on Sunday.
