The RAC has today been named one of the UK\u2019s Best Employers by the Financial Times.<\/p>\n

Now in its second edition, the UK\u2019s Best Employers 2026 ranking<\/a>, produced in collaboration with global data and research company Statista, highlights organisations that demonstrate a strong commitment to creating positive, engaging, and inspiring workplaces. <\/p>\n

The RAC is the only driving services company featured in the list, which recognises 500 employers across a broad range of industries operating in the United Kingdom. Based on an independent, large-scale survey of employees working for organisations with at least 250 employees, more than 400,000 employer evaluations from the current and previous year were considered. Employees were surveyed anonymously via online panels and the Financial Times platform, ensuring responses were free from employer influence.<\/p>\n

RAC chief executive Dave Hobday said: \u201cThis is fantastic recognition for our company, but it\u2019s really a credit to all our colleagues \u2013 from head office to the roadside \u2013 who have created such a positive culture to work in. Rescuing more than two million of our 15m members every year, insuring 700,000 motorists, and servicing and repairing more than 100,000 cars on driveways across the country doesn\u2019t happen without a completely engaged and committed team.\u201d <\/p>\n

The RAC also has a 4.5-star rating on jobs and careers website Glassdoor, with 89% of employees saying they would recommend the company to a friend.<\/p>\n

The RAC is committed to training and development and helping address the motor industry skills shortage. Since the RAC Apprentice Academy launched in late 2021 it has trained 70 roadside patrols. Currently, there are 125 apprentices in the programme training to be patrols and mobile servicing and repair technicians.
