<\/p>\nA frontline paramedic from Wiltshire has been crowned the new Commonwealth Bantamweight Boxing Champion after a unanimous points victory.<\/p>\n
Megan Redstall, 24, stepped into the ring at the Brentwood Centre, Essex, on 15 February for a ten-round contest against a Kenyan opponent for the vacant Commonwealth title.<\/p>\n
The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust emergency worker delivered what was described as a boxing masterclass, she secured a unanimous decision from the judges to claim the prestigious belt.<\/p>\n

Alongside her frontline role as a paramedic, Megan has competed as a professional boxer for the past ten years. The bout marked her first major step up at championship level.<\/p>\n
Balancing emergency shifts with a demanding training schedule has required significant commitment and resilience, qualities she demonstrates both in and out of the ring.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on her achievement, Megan said: \u201cBecoming Commonwealth Champion is a dream come true.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve worked towards this moment for years, juggling night shifts, long days on the road, and early mornings in the gym.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy job as a paramedic means everything to me as I have the privilege of helping people on some of the toughest days of their lives.<\/p>\n
