Ghanaian songstress Sefa has revealed that before fully pursuing music, some people advised her to consider a career in the military instead.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio on Hitz FM on February 24, 2026, the singer was asked if she faced any setbacks when she started out in music.<\/p>\n

\u201cA couple of people were telling me that I should become a soldier because of my height,\u201d she disclosed.<\/p>\n

Despite the suggestions, Sefa said she remained focused on her passion for music, insisting that she was determined to chase her dream regardless of other opinions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told them that this is my passion. It\u2019s nice to follow your passion. It\u2019s my dream. People on the outside will not understand what I am seeing,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

\u2018Brainless and talentless\u2019 – Sefa speaks on comments that broke her<\/a><\/p>\n

The singer also reflected on her journey after signing to her record label, stating that her primary goal was not to compete with her label mates but to build a strong personal brand.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I joined the label, I was just like, \u2018I\u2019m going to work hard and make sure my name becomes a household name.\u2019 I wasn\u2019t thinking about doing better than my label mates. I just wanted to work hard and make sure whatever I\u2019m putting out, people listen to it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Now, Sefa says she is grateful for how far she has come.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, now I can say we are a household name and I\u2019m grateful to God and the label,\u201d she added, noting that those who once doubted her vision are gradually seeing the results of her persistence.<\/p>\n
