Three Arsenal players have been warned that a few stars \u201cwill be gone\u201d from the club at the end of this season and they could be replaced by Max Dowman.<\/p>\n
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta<\/a> is blessed with having one of the most complete squads in Europe, with around \u00a3250m spent in last summer\u2019s transfer window to land their priority targets.<\/p>\n This business ensures the Gunners<\/a> have quality options in every position, though club chiefs could be forced to make difficult decisions regarding potential exits to balance the books in the coming months.<\/p>\n Captain Martin Odegaard is among those linked with an exit as his performances have dipped this season, while Eberechi Eze joined the club in the summer to provide competition.<\/p>\n Arsenal also have Ethan Nwaneri, who is currently on loan at Ligue Un outfit Marseille, and Dowman, who has been out of action since November with an ankle injury, in the background.<\/p>\n Nwaneri had a breakout season in 2025\/26, but 16-year-old Dowman has also impressed in the first team and perhaps has a greater ceiling.<\/p>\n And former Arsenal player Perry Groves has warned Odegaard, Eze and Nwaneri that Dowman could end up taking their place.<\/p>\n \u201cThe thing is, though, you won\u2019t have to fit them all [Arsenal\u2019s array of attacking midfield options] in,\u201d Groves told talkSPORT.<\/p>\n READ:\u00a0Arsenal and Everton \u2018should be embarrassed\u2019 by Royal Rumble nonsense<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cBecause there will be a few that will be gone at the end of the season.<\/p>\n \u201cThe squad is that strong, and there will be new faces that come in, so there will be a few that will be surplus to requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n Groves continued: \u201cThey all want to go and play.
