In a witness statement read by the judge, Low’s partner Pamela Curran said she “feels sad every day”.<\/p>\n
The court heard that she no longer goes out after dark, and that her closest friend had told her: “The spark has gone out of your eyes.”<\/p>\n
Campbell was found guilty at the High Court in Glasgow after a 15-day trial. The jury delivered a non-unanimous verdict after three days of deliberations. <\/p>\n
The verdict closes a dark chapter that brought fear and suspicion to the close-knit town.<\/p>\n
