Samara Weaving in the world of The Evil Dead. That would be awesome, wouldn\u2019t it? Well, it actually already happened! Before winning over the hearts of horror fans in films including Mayhem, Ready or Not, and Scream VI, Samara Weaving<\/a> appeared in three episodes of the \u201cAsh vs. Evil Dead<\/a>\u201d series, and it ended up being a formative role for the fan favorite actress.<\/p>\n

As Samara Weaving revealed in an Ask-Me-Anything session over on Reddit<\/a> last night in promotion of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come<\/a>, the source of her iconic scream can be traced back to the Starz series \u201cAsh vs. Evil Dead.\u201d Weaving\u2019s primal scream, on full display in Ready or Not and its upcoming sequel, was one the actress herself didn\u2019t even know she was capable of.<\/p>\n

Weaving recalls, \u201cI remember I did week on a spin-off show called Ash vs. Evil Dead. I was in for a couple of episodes, and it was the first horror-genre thing I\u2019d done. I remember on the day of filming, they said, \u2018Alright so the house is attacking you and we\u2019ll push in as you scream,\u2019 and I\u2019d never really screamed before.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd so I did it, and I remember thinking to myself, \u2018wow that\u2019s a good scream.\u2019 I had never heard something like that come out of my body before,\u201d Samara Weaving continues. \u201cThe crew even applauded, haha. It made it into the show and that was it, the scream was born.\u201d<\/p>\n

She adds, \u201cSomeone online called it a yoddle and that made me laugh.\u201d<\/p>\n

Which episodes of \u201cAsh vs. Evil Dead\u201d did Samara Weaving appear in?<\/p>\n

Samara Weaving played Heather in Episodes 8-10 of the first season of \u201cAsh vs. Evil Dead,\u201d an ill-fated character Pablo and Kelly meet out in the forest. Heather ends up stranded at the infamous Knowby Cabin after her hiking friends are killed by a Deadite, and she\u2019s literally tortured and brutally dispatched by the cabin itself \u2013 but not before primally screaming\u2026 a lot.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t long after her bloody demise in \u201cAsh vs. Evil Dead\u201d that Samara Weaving starred in Mayhem, The Babysitter, and Ready or Not, a trio of horror films that fully cemented her status as a modern day scream queen. Weaving has since starred in horror films including Scream VI and Azrael<\/a>, and she\u2019s back on the big screen next month in the Ready or Not sequel.<\/p>\n

The horror-comedy sequel opens in theaters March 20\u00a0via Searchlight Pictures.<\/p>\n
