TV presenter Anthony McPartlin has said he never wants to host the Brit Awards again.<\/p>\n

Along with co-host Declan Donnelly, he has presented the music awards ceremony three times.<\/p>\n

McPartlin said the night is fun for nominees but hosting it can be a challenge because everyone just wants to get drunk.<\/p>\n

Speaking on their podcast, Hanging Out with Ant & Dec, the pair appeared to be relieved not to be hosting the ceremony this weekend.<\/p>\n

McPartlin said: \u201c(We\u2019ve hosted it) three times, never again.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the reason why we always say, \u2018oh, never again\u2019, it\u2019s not because we don\u2019t believe in the awards. I really do. I think they\u2019re really good for British music.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s actually a really good night if you\u2019re there as somebody who\u2019s been nominated, because we\u2019ve been nominated for a Brit back in the day. That was a fun night. We didn\u2019t win that night.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair met as child actors on CBBC drama Byker Grove, and performed pop music together as PJ & Duncan, including their hit single Let\u2019s Get Ready to Rhumble, which was first released in 1994.<\/p>\n

They were nominated in 1995 for the Brit award for best British newcomer but lost out to rock band Oasis.<\/p>\n

McPartlin said: \u201cIt\u2019s a fun night if you\u2019re nominated, it\u2019s a fun night \u2013 not necessarily if you\u2019re hosting it though because everybody in the room just wants to get drunk and have a good time and you\u2019re trying to wrangle the whole crowd.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are also trying to present a TV show and also all the artists and bands who said they would happily do an interview with you before the show starts always change their mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Geordie presenting duo are known for hosting ITV\u2019s I\u2019m A Celebrity\u2026 Get Me Out Of Here!, Britain\u2019s Got Talent and the gameshow Ant And Dec\u2019s Limitless Win.<\/p>\n

Comedian Jack Whitehall will host the Brit Awards on Saturday in Manchester.<\/p>\n
