Rohrwacher directed 2023\u2019s La Chimera starring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/tag\/josh-o&#039;connor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Josh O\u2019Connor<\/a>, while her filmography also includes 2011\u2019s Heavenly Body, 2014\u2019s The Wonders, and 2018\u2019s Happy as Lazzaro.<\/p>\n<p>What else do we know about Three Incestuous Sisters with Dakota Johnson?<\/p>\n<p>Per <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/02\/dakota-johnson-jessie-buckley-three-incestuous-sisters-1236738365\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Deadline<\/a>, in addition to Johnson, Ronan, and Buckley, Three Incestuous Sisters will also star O\u2019Connor.<\/p>\n<p>Plot and character details are being kept under wraps at this time; although, Deadline\u2019s article notes that the movie\u2019s script, written by Rohrwacher and Ottessa Moshfegh, is only \u201cloosely\u201d based on the 2005 book.<\/p>\n<p>A description of the novel reads, \u201cThese rich pages present the tale of three very different sisters: one who is beautiful, one who is smart, and one who is talented. A melodrama of sibling rivalry unfurls as one sister is driven mad with jealousy due to the passionate love affair of another. Escalating to a dizzying climax, the romance of the two lovers ends in sabotage, shame, and despair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rohrwacher is producing the new movie alongside Johnson and Ro Donnelly for TeaTime Pictures and Steven Rales for Indian Paintbrush. Production is expected to begin in April.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson recently starred opposite Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans in 2025\u2019s Materialists, while Buckley has been nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in last year\u2019s Hamnet. Buckley will also soon be seen in The Bride!, which arrives in United States theaters next week. Ronan, meanwhile, starred in a British comedy movie last year titled Bad Apples.
