TV chef Gordon Ramsay has reportedly bought a second home in Cornwall just down the road from his beachside retreat.<\/p>\n
The Daily Mail<\/a> reported that the 19th century home was put on the market last year and Gordon and his wife reportedly bought it through their new company Rocky Bay Estates.<\/p>\n Documents with the land registry show that the couple bought their second home with a mortgage from Coutts, the Daily Mail reports.<\/p>\n It said the four-bedroom home was bought with a two-acre plot, “about a dozen doors down from the modern house he built recently” on the beachside.<\/p>\n Gordon and Tana’s home in Rock was originally bought for \u00a34.4 million in 2015 and was completely rebuilt from the ground up.<\/p>\n The family reportedly stayed at the house<\/a> for much of the lockdown in 2020 during the Covid-19<\/a> pandemic, sparking some complaints from locals about second home owners.<\/p>\n While promoting his new Netflix series, Being Gordon Ramsay, on Scott Mills’ BBC<\/a> Radio 2 Breakfast Show, the chef was asked about his seemingly more calmer ways in recent years.<\/p>\n In response, the 59-year-old said: “I absolutely adore Cornwall, honestly, from the surfing, the swimming.”<\/p>\n CornwallLive previously reported<\/a> the TV chef has ruffled some feathers in the past when speaking about his thoughts and feelings about Cornwall.<\/p>\n In a previous conversation with Vernon Kay on BBC Radio 2, he said: “I would go down to the beautiful Cornish coast and get a little line-caught seabass and do that with a little light crushed potatoes.<\/p>\n “Trust me, I absolutely love Cornwall, it\u2019s just the Cornish I can’t stand.”<\/p>\n Want to see more of the stories you love from CornwallLive?
