Two women have been charged after a man’s body was found inside a vehicle<\/a> in a car park in Helston<\/a>, Cornwall.<\/p>\n Devon and Cornwall Police<\/a> were making enquiries in Helston following reports of a concern for welfare in the early hours of Wednesday, December 18, 2024.<\/p>\n As a result of the searches, a man was found dead in a vehicle.<\/p>\n An inquest named him as Glen Manders<\/a>, 66, from Somerset.<\/p>\n Two women were arrested on suspicion of murder, wilful neglect of a person without mental capacity and preventing a lawful burial.<\/p>\n Police confirmed that while the two women will face no further action in relation to murder and wilful neglect, they have both been charged<\/a> with preventing a lawful and decent burial of a dead body.<\/p>\n The women have been named as 88-year-old Dinah Manders, of Weirfield Road in Exeter, and Rosemary Manders, 53 and of Upton Lane in Ilminster.<\/p>\n They were both bailed to appear at Truro<\/a> Magistrates’ Court<\/a> on Thursday, March 26.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Two suspects arrested after a body was located in Helston in December 2024 have been charged.<\/p>\n “Police were making enquiries in the Helston area in the early hours of Wednesday 18 December 2024 following concerns for welfare.<\/p>\n “During those enquiries officers located the body of a man in a vehicle in Helston Business Park.<\/p>\n “A man in his 60s, from the Avon and Somerset area, was confirmed deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n “Two women were arrested on suspicion of murder, wilful neglect of a person without mental capacity and preventing a lawful burial.<\/p>\n “Dinah Manders, 88, of Weirfield Road, Exeter, and Rosemary Manders, 53, of Upton Lane, Ilminster, have now both been charged with preventing a lawful and decent burial of a dead body.<\/p>\n “They will face no further action in relation to murder and wilful neglect.<\/p>\n “They have both been bailed to appear at Truro Magistrates\u2019 Court on Thursday 26 March.”<\/p>\n Want to see more of the stories you love from CornwallLive?
