Tom Holland addressed the possibility of playing James Bond in a video filmed for Gordon Ramsay\u2019s YouTube channel<\/p>\n

When Ramsay asked the English star if he\u2019d \u201clove the opportunity\u201d to inherit the role of 007, Holland called it \u201cthe pinnacle of working in our industry\u201d<\/p>\n

A new actor will be tapped to play Bond in an upcoming movie from director Denis Villeneuve and screenwriter Steven Knight<\/p>\n

Appearing on Gordon Ramsay<\/a>\u2019s YouTube<\/a> channel, the Spider-Man<\/a> actor, 29, acknowledged that \u201cthere\u2019s speculation at the minute\u201d about him being tapped as the actor to inherit the role of James Bond<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cEver thought about using the word James with future movies going forward?\u201d quipped Ramsay, 58. \u201cWe\u2019ll keep it to a minimum for now,\u201d Holland teased in response. \u201cWe\u2019ll get there one day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSeriously, can you imagine what’s going to happen to your life if you do?\u201d asked the chef, referring to Holland taking on 007. \u201cYou’d love the opportunity, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery young British actor, it\u2019s the pinnacle of working in our industry,\u201d confirmed Holland. \u201cI already consider myself to be the luckiest kid alive, you know? I could never have dreamed to have the career that I\u2019ve had.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dune director Denis Villeneuve<\/a> and Peaky Blinders screenwriter Steven Knight<\/a> are helming<\/a> the next James Bond movie for Amazon MGM Studios, with Amy Pascal and David Heyman joining longtime franchise producers<\/a> Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.<\/p>\n

Speculation has swirled for months about which actor could take on Ian Fleming\u2019s iconic MI6 agent following Daniel Craig<\/a>\u2019s recent portrayal in four Bond films. The role has also been played by Sean Connery<\/a>, Pierce Brosnan<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n

Holland stars in two upcoming films: Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a> (in theaters May 1, 2026) and director Christopher Nolan\u2019s The Odyssey<\/a> (in theaters on July 17, 2026).<\/p>\n

Both projects also star Holland\u2019s fianc\u00e9e Zendaya<\/a>, who plays Michelle “MJ” Jones in the Spider-Man franchise. After getting engaged in January<\/a>, the superstar couple have not revealed details or a timeline for their nuptials.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Aug. 2, Holland offered a first look<\/a> at Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Instagram<\/a>. The English actor also recently told British GQ<\/a> that he feels<\/a> \u201creally blessed to be at a point in my career where I can take time off, reset, and come back ready to go\u2026 You can’t be in every movie, and you can’t do your best work when you’re burnt out.\u201d<\/p>\n
