{"id":452133,"date":"2026-03-01T14:57:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-01T14:57:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/452133\/"},"modified":"2026-03-01T14:57:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-01T14:57:15","slug":"peter-symonds-pupil-to-appear-on-britains-got-talent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/452133\/","title":{"rendered":"Peter Symonds pupil to appear on Britain&#8217;s Got Talent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Lower sixth student Rafferty Coope, 16, will be combining his two passions of magic and music into his act, which will be on ITV at 7pm on Saturday, February 28.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In a post on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hampshirechronicle.co.uk\/yoursay\/facebook\/?ref=au\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Facebook<\/a>, Peter Symonds wished Rafferty the best of luck.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The post said: &#8220;Join us in wishing HUGE luck to our very own lower sixth student Rafferty Coope, as he appears on Britain&#8217;s Got Talent tonight at 7pm\ud83e\udd1e!\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Rafferty Coope on Britain&#8217;s Got Talent (Image: Tom Dymond\/Britain&#8217;s Got Talent)\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Rafferty&#8217;s act combines two of his greatest passions, magic &amp; music &#8211; we can&#8217;t wait to tune in\ud83d\udcfa!\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Good luck Rafferty, from everybody at #PeterSymondsCollege we&#8217;re rooting for you\ud83c\udf89\u2728!&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Rafferty said: &#8220;I\u2019ve loved magic all my life! I was gifted magic sets when I was younger, and have been doing tricks ever since. I can play seven instruments, and I love writing and composing music also. When I was 9, I became a chorister at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshirechronicle.co.uk\/topics\/winchester-cathedral\/?ref=au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Winchester Cathedral<\/a> because I really enjoy singing too.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Music really is magical! I\u2019ve seen magicians try to combine the two, but I really think my act will attempt something which hasn\u2019t been done before.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Rafferty is part of the Young Magicians Club at the Magic Circle, and practices whenever he can.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  He continued: &#8220;I always have a pack of cards on me. You never know when your next performance might be! Who knows if I will be either a Magician or a Musician when I\u2019m older, but one thing I do know is that I love performing! As long my job has an audience and a stage, I will be happy!&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Britain&#8217;s Got Talent will be on ITV 1 at 7pm.
