The Cranborne Practice in Verwood will gain a new high-capacity medical hub on 131 Newtown Road, expected to create space for at least 28,000 additional in-person appointments per year.

Construction is slated to begin on March 12, with completion targeted for mid-summer 2026.

Jo Morris, managing partner at the Cranborne Practice, said: “This refurbishment is more than just a building project; it’s a commitment to our patients.

“By expanding our footprint at Newtown Road, we are ensuring that The Cranborne Practice remains at the forefront of local healthcare, providing the capacity and modern environment our community deserves.”

The project will fully refurbish the practice’s bungalow site, turning it into a modern clinical environment.

It will include three new consulting rooms, a dedicated patient waiting area, fully accessible modern toilet facilities, and a new administrative office to support practice operations.

Currently, the Cranborne Practice delivers around 10,500 appointments each month, with 68 per cent already taking place in person.

The development is intended to meet rising demand and improve access to care for the growing Verwood community.

Once operational, the upgraded site will enable a significant increase in appointment availability, helping to reduce waiting times and offer patients greater choice.

The practice said it was committed to maintaining its usual high standard of care across its existing locations throughout the duration of the build.

The expansion also opens the possibility for additional health services in the future.

The ‘Bungalow Hub’ could eventually support specialist clinics and community health programmes, further broadening care options available within Verwood.

The Cranborne Practice in Verwood will gain a new high-capacity medical hub on 131 Newtown Road, expected to…

[43
102,2960,56,54,55
post-453132","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-healthcare","tag-health","tag-healthcare","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
