Following last week’s reveal of the next major Pok\u00e9mon game Pok\u00e9mon Winds & Waves<\/a> (and a release window for the battle title Pok\u00e9mon Champions<\/a>), The Pok\u00e9mon Company has officially announced it will be winding down Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet & Violet<\/a>‘s seasonal Ranked Battle content.<\/p>\n

The final season for the Switch game “Season 41” will officially kick off on 1st April 2026. After this goes live, Ranked Battles will no longer receive updates. This season will run until the game’s servers are taken offline, and there will be no monthly rankings or rewards for rankings.<\/p>\n

This announcement follows the recent conclusion of Season 39 and the start of Season 40. Trainers can now collect rewards for Season 39. As for Season 40, it runs from now until 31st March 2026. You can see the full ruleset for this season on Serebii.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you haven’t already tried out Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet & Violet<\/a> on the Switch 2, these titles received a free upgrade last June.<\/p>\n

Seems odd between this and the rerunning raid events that they’re dropping support for SV when WiWa is still over a year away. Guess there’s ZA but it’s kind of its own separate beast and it’s not like PLA’s existence caused them to stop doing SwSh stuff.<\/p>\n

The end of an era. Played hours of competitive play in Pokemon Violet, hopefully Champions online is even better. Do we know what regulation is being used for this final season?<\/p>\n

Yeah, makes sense with both Champions and Winds & Waves coming as already mentioned in the comments and now also article – I’ve never taken part in these myself, but I hope those who did had (and\/or will have with this final one) fun!<\/p>\n
