{"id":456007,"date":"2026-03-03T22:13:11","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T22:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/456007\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T22:13:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T22:13:11","slug":"apple-updates-studio-display-with-thunderbolt-5-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/456007\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple Updates Studio Display With Thunderbolt 5 and More"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alongside the all-new, higher-end <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2026\/03\/03\/apple-introduces-studio-display-xdr\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Studio Display XDR<\/a>, Apple has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/newsroom\/2026\/03\/apple-unveils-new-studio-display-and-all-new-studio-display-xdr\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">updated<\/a> the regular version of the Studio Display with some new features.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/studio-display-purple.jpeg\"   alt=\"studio display purple\" width=\"2500\" height=\"1406\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-988708\"\/><br \/>Here is what is new for the lower-end Studio Display, according to Apple:<\/p>\n<p>Two Thunderbolt 5 ports (up to 120Gb\/s), with one upstream port (provides 96W pass-through charging) and one downstream port for connecting accessories or daisy-chaining up to four additional Studio Displays<br \/>\nThe built-in 12-megapixel Center Stage camera now supports Desk View<br \/>\nThe six-speaker sound system&#8217;s woofers deliver &#8220;30 percent deeper bass&#8221; compared to the previous Studio Display<\/p>\n<p>Only the higher-end Studio Display XDR received a 120Hz refresh rate, mini-LED backlighting, increased brightness, and faster 140W pass-through charging.<\/p>\n<p>The regular Studio Display still has a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits of brightness.<\/p>\n<p>Both models have 27-inch displays with a 5K resolution.<\/p>\n<p>Both new Studio Displays have the same overall design as the original model, but the 12-megapixel Center Stage camera now supports Desk View.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, here are the Studio Display&#8217;s other key specs:<\/p>\n<p>27-inch Retina display with 5K resolution (LCD without mini-LED backlighting)<br \/>\n5120-by-2880 resolution at 218 pixels per inch<br \/>\n60Hz refresh rate<br \/>\nUp to 600 nits brightness<br \/>\nP3 wide color gamut support with 1 billion colors<br \/>\nTrue Tone<\/p>\n<p>The new Studio Displays can be pre-ordered starting Wednesday, March 4 at 6:15 a.m. Pacific Time, ahead of a Wednesday, March 11 launch. In the U.S., the Studio Display continues to start at $1,599, while the Studio Display XDR starts at $3,299. You can upgrade both models to anti-reflective, nano-texture glass for an additional $300.
