Gangs of London<\/a> star \u1e62\u1ecdp\u1eb9\u0301 D\u00ecr\u00eds\u00f9<\/a> has been confirmed to lead a new Sheriff-fronted Netflix <\/a>crime series. <\/p>\n

Titled All the Sinners Bleed and based on the S.A. Cosby novel of the same name, the new series follows D\u00ecr\u00eds\u00f9 as the first Black Sheriff in a Bible Belt community. <\/p>\n

The logline reads: “Haunted by his devout mother\u2019s untimely death, the first Black Sheriff in a small Bible Belt county must lead the hunt for a serial killer that has been preying on his Black community for years in the name of God.”<\/p>\n

Adapting All the Sinners Bleed for the screen, Joe Robert Cole serves as executive producer and showrunner. He will also serve as director on multiple episodes, including episode one (per Variety<\/a>).<\/p>\n

It’s not the only Netflix production in D\u00ecr\u00eds\u00f9’s future, the Slow Horses<\/a> actor is set to appear alongside Jude Law and Jason Bateman in the upcoming series Black Rabbit<\/a> as a prominent musician and entrepreneur named Wes. <\/p>\n

Black Rabbit stars Law and Bateman as brothers Jake and Vince Friedkin respectively. When circumstances threaten to upend the family business, Vince returns unannounced. <\/p>\n

Speaking recently about the limited series, Bateman told Tudum<\/a>: “At the heart, I hope [audiences] are hooked by the complicated, loving, volatile relationship of these two brothers.”<\/p>\n

Opening up about the differences between the two brothers, Bateman described Vince as the more troubled brother of the two. <\/p>\n

“It’s really about these brothers who love each other but don’t match \u2013 one’s a screw-up, and the other is much more buttoned up,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Everybody can relate to that. Everybody’s either got a sibling, or a friendship where you love being with one another, but it’s kind of dangerous; where that person usually gets you in trouble, but they’re really exciting to be around.” <\/p>\n
