Wet Leg<\/a> have opened up about getting involved in the star-studded War Child charity album, \u2018Help(2)\u2019, and said that putting their name to it was \u201cliterally the least anyone could do\u201d. Check out our full interview above.<\/p>\n

The Isle Of Wight indie heroes caught up with NME at the 2026 BRIT Awards<\/a> on Saturday (February 28), where they were nominated for both British Group and Alternative\/Rock categories. Both nods came in celebration of their sophomore album \u2018Moisturizer<\/a>\u2019, which was released in July and praised by NME as seeing them \u201creturn smarter, sexier and altogether stronger\u201d<\/a> than ever.<\/p>\n

That record went on to be nominated for three awards at the Grammys<\/a> and, since then, the band have been confirmed as part of the huge line-up for War Child\u2019s upcoming \u2018Help(2)\u2019 album<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The star-studded album is set for release on Friday (March 6) via War Child Records, and will raise funds for young people whose lives have been affected by war and conflict. Visit here to pre-order<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It record comes following the original 1995 \u2018Help\u2019 record for War Child and, this time around, features huge names like Arctic Monkeys<\/a>, Damon Albarn<\/a>, Pulp<\/a>, Fontaines D.C.<\/a>, Beabadoobee<\/a>, Beck<\/a>, Portishead<\/a>\u2018s Beth Gibbons<\/a>, Cameron Winter<\/a>, Depeche Mode<\/a>, Wolf Alice<\/a>\u2018s Ellie Rowsell<\/a>, English Teacher<\/a>, Olivia Rodrigo<\/a>, Johnny Marr<\/a>, Young Fathers<\/a>, and many more.<\/p>\n

Speaking to NME about why they wanted to put their name to the record \u2013 especially when some artists shied away from it as it was \u201ctoo political\u201d<\/a> \u2013 singer Rhian Teasdale shared praise for War Child\u2019s efforts, and said that it felt like the minimum that anyone in their position could offer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWar Child is such an important charity because the world is just scary. It\u2019s a really scary place right now. So, being in the position that we\u2019re in, it was literally the least anyone could do. It was easy for us to do something like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wet Leg also looked at the huge positive response to their second album, and explained whether or not they had overcome the feeling that it was a \u201cfreak incident\u201d<\/a> that it had been received so well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think you could say we were expecting it. We were really excited and amazed to see it happen, and I don\u2019t think we could have asked for anything more,\u201d said guitarist Joshua Omead Mobaraki. Drummer Henry Holmes chimed in: \u201cIt\u2019s still pretty crazy. The fact we\u2019re here right now doing this, sometimes it\u2019s best not to think about too much because otherwise it\u2019s too fucking scary.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Moisturizer\u2019 was named on NME\u2018s list of the Best Albums of 2025, <\/a>and celebrated as having tracks that \u201ccould go toe-to-toe\u201d with the best aspects of their breakthrough debut record.<\/a><\/p>\n

Back in November, the band teased that their third studio album was already finished.<\/a><\/p>\n

At the BRITs, the band were up against The Last Dinner Party, Pulp, Sleep Token<\/a>, and Wolf Alice for Best Group, with the latter going on to take home the award. They were also nominated alongside Blood Orange<\/a>, Lola Young<\/a>, Sam Fender<\/a> and Wolf Alice for the Alternative\/Rock category, and it was Fender who took home the win \u2013 marking his fifth BRIT award. The ceremony took place in Manchester for the first time, and Jack Whitehall returned to host for a record-breaking sixth time<\/a>. Performances on the night came from Harry Styles<\/a>, Olivia Dean<\/a>, HUNTR\/X\u2019s EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI<\/a>, Wolf Alice, Mark Ronson<\/a>, Alex Warren<\/a>, Sombr<\/a>, RAYE<\/a>, and Rosal\u00eda<\/a> \u2013 the latter of which brought out Bj\u00f6rk as a special guest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jacob Alon got the Critic\u2019s Choice Award<\/a>, Noel Gallagher was named as Songwriter of the Year<\/a>, PinkPantheress was Producer Of The Year<\/a>, and Ozzy Osbourne was honoured with the BRITs Lifetime Achievement Award <\/a>following his passing last summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n
