Devin Haney looks set for a welterweight unification fight on May 30 in Brooklyn, according to updates from both sides.<\/p>\n
The former undisputed lightweight world champion stuck around at super-lightweight for just one fight \u2013 a world title win over Regis Prograis \u2013 before beating Jose Ramirez at a catchweight in preparations for his debut at 147lbs.<\/p>\n
Then, in November last year, Haney became a three-division world champion, beating Brian Norman Jr to win the WBO welterweight world title.<\/a><\/p>\n Now considered the top dog in one of boxing\u2019s most exciting divisions, if Haney is to continue belt collecting he had three options \u2013 unifications with the IBF\u2019s Lewis Crocker, the WBA\u2019s Rolando Romero or a grudge rematch against newly crowned WBC champ, Ryan Garcia.<\/a><\/p>\n It is Romero who has seemingly stepped up to the plate, following weeks of back and forth. \u2018Rolly\u2019 took to social media this week to announce that his end of the deal is now complete.<\/p>\n \u201cNo more ball back in this court or that court.
