In a new social media post, the supermodel and swimwear designer flaunts her incredible figure in a skimpy swimsuit while vacationing on Kokomo. \u201cThe way of the water always rewrites my rhythm,\u201d she captioned the Instagram photos. \u201cStunning,\u201d one of her followers commented. \u201cYES YES YES,\u201d added another. How does she approach health and wellness? Here are her top diet and fitness habits.<\/p>\n<p>Candice swears by a drink. \u201cI do a nice beauty smoothie,\u201d she told <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thecut.com\/2017\/08\/candice-swanepoel-workout-and-diet-routine-interview.html\">The Cut<\/a>. \u201cIt contains coconut oil, flaxseed oil, banana, protein, some kind of antioxidant fruit like blueberries or strawberries, or some nut butter. I discovered it from doing research; I like to be on beauty blogs. I\u2019ve always loved nutrition and because I\u2019ve worked out for so many years, I\u2019ve figured out what\u2019s best for my body and keeping my energy up. It\u2019s evolved from that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Candice is \u201chappy and healthy\u201d with wellness. \u201cI don\u2019t like restrict myself from certain foods that I want, or kill myself at the gym. It\u2019s really what\u2019s comfortable for my body at the time and what\u2019s best at that moment,\u201d she told The Cut.<\/p>\n<p>Candice has always been \u201cin tune\u201d with her body via dancing. \u201cI started dancing when I was really young, and it just gives you a different sense of your body,\u201d she told The Cut. Dancing is an excellent workout for many reasons. It builds strength and promotes flexibility, helps you lose weight, and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ajpmonline.org\/article\/S0749-3797(16)00030-1\/fulltext\">American Journal of Preventive Medicine <\/a>determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop or die from heart disease than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.<\/p>\n<p>Candice is a yogi. \u201cI think that yoga has taught me breathing techniques,\u201d she told <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.fr\/beauty-tips\/insider-secrets\/diaporama\/candice-swanepoel-the-victorias-secret-angel-reveals-her-beauty-secrets\/26723\">Vogue France<\/a>. \u201cI take deep slow breaths.\u201d She added to The Cut that she has even created her own technique. \u201cI\u2019ve been doing my own kind of yoga. It\u2019s not traditional yoga, but I put on some music and mix in some Pilates and squat resistance stuff I\u2019ve learned over the years. It\u2019s calm: I can meditate through it and get some flow with some music. It\u2019s a little ritual for me. I do it every time I feel overwhelmed and stressed \u2014 I try at least twice a week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Candice is all about strength training. She does an hour of resistance training almost daily with Justin Gelband in New York, but she doesn\u2019t stop with that. \u201cI like to change it up, I do yoga, swimming, boxing and I have just started paddle boarding but I think that Pilates is my favorite,\u201d she told Vogue France.<\/p>\n<p>Candice fuels up with healthy snacks, \u201cespecially Brazil nuts and almonds, which are great for your hair and nails,\u201d she told Vogue France. \u201cOtherwise I have protein bars or fruit, I think I have a banana in my bag right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Candice Swanepoel is heating up a private island.
