And just as we published this article, Bend Studio posted<\/a> that it\u2019s bringing Days Gone\u2019s<\/a> Broken Road DLC to PC storefront GOG<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The Broken Road content was added as part of Days Gone Remastered<\/a>, and includes news modes like Horde Assault.<\/p>\n

So, there\u2019s seemingly no plans for this game to be ported to Xbox just yet, but it won\u2019t stop these outcries from occurring every single time Sony teases something even remotely cryptic.<\/p>\n

Original Story: It\u2019s happening again<\/a>, folks!<\/p>\n

A cryptic post<\/a> from Sony first-party developer Bend Studio has brought out a bunch of bad actors within the Xbox community, all begging for a port of the supposedly \u201cXbox coded\u201d open world game, Days Gone<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As spotted by our friends at Pure Xbox<\/a>, a monocle emoji posted to the PlayStation team\u2019s X<\/a> (or Twitter<\/a>) account has attracted an enormous amount of attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cXbox port for Days Gone,\u201d one assumed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs it really happening?\u201d another pondered<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, Bend Studio hasn\u2019t actually clarified what its message was about, but its replies are absolutely bombarded by Xbox hopefuls, eager to take control of protagonist Deacon St. John.<\/p>\n

This sudden influx of port begging is an issue all of Sony\u2019s own creation, of course \u2013 it followed the unexpected announcement<\/a> of Helldivers 2<\/a> on Xbox Series X|S with a job listing<\/a> for a Senior Director of Multiplatform.<\/p>\n

That job listing read:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the global commercial strategy for PS Studios software titles across all digital platforms beyond PlayStation hardware, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Nintendo, and mobile. This role is accountable for optimising title profitability, ensuring cross-functional alignment, and leading a high-performing team focused on multiplatform expansion, mid-range commercial planning, and platform partner management.\u201d<\/p>\n

While one source said fans are getting \u201creally carried away<\/a>\u201d with the job post, others have suggested more first-party PS5 games<\/a> will be coming to Xbox. However, it\u2019s not clear exactly which ones.<\/p>\n

Sony, for the record<\/a>, most recently said that it needs to be \u201creally thoughtful about bringing our franchises off-console\u201d, but that hasn\u2019t stopped the rumour mills from churning around games like Marvel\u2019s Spider-Man<\/a> and now Days Gone.<\/p>\n

This is all occurring at a time when Microsoft\u2019s multiformat push has made it one of the most popular publishers on PS5<\/a>, although with stagnating hardware sales and unprecedented acquisitions to fund, Xbox has been forced to explore its options.<\/p>\n

PlayStation could put a lot of this speculation to bed by actually speaking to consumers and outlining its plans, but the firm only really communicates with investors these days, so expect the port begging to continue for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n
