The ITV Britain’s Got Talent judging panel was left in a state of shock after a gymnast fumbled his landing. The performer delivered several in-air back flips but flew off stage after narrowly missing the trampoline.<\/p>\n
Britain’s Got Talent returned to screens last month with a spectacular 17th series <\/a>of one of the nation’s favourite Saturday night TV programmes. Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon returned to the judging panel, this time joined by social media sensation KSI.<\/a><\/p>\n Ant and Dec have also returned for their all-important presenting roles, welcoming a fresh batch of hopeful contestants hoping to win the hearts of the nation and perform at the prestigious Royal Variety Show.<\/a><\/p>\n The first act to hit the stage was Canadian duo Connor and Oliver delivering high-flying tricks. They brought a giant trampoline on stage but a dramatic somersault almost landed in a trip to the emergency room as Connor fumbled a landing.<\/p>\n Britain\u2019s Got Talent’s Connor and Oliver(Image: ITV)<\/p>\n After multiple in-air back flips, Connor sprung forward, narrowly missing the trampoline and falling onto the stage, albeit on his feet. Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon waved their hands and covered their mouths in shock as the young gymnast gathered himself off-camera.<\/p>\n Amanda said: “I feel really sorry for him.” The pair jumped back onto the trampoline, resulting in a cheer from the audience, but their performance was finished then.<\/p>\n Speaking directly to Connor and Oliver, Amanda said: “You know what, you’re super talented, it looked like it was amazing fun and, actually, you falling off made me realise, oh my God, it is really dangerous. And that felt thrilling even though I know it was a bad thing that happened.”<\/p>\n Amanda gave the boys a pass to the next round whereas Simon Cowell and KSI admitted the routine was boring after 20 seconds. Connor and Oliver failed to progress to the next stage after Alesha also refused them both a pass.<\/p>\n Last month, the show welcomed 64 students from LMA Liverpool<\/a>, who are based in the Metquarter, onto this year\u2019s Britain\u2019s Got Talent auditions held at Blackpool Winter Gardens. The episode aired on Saturday, February 21, and it’s fair to say the group wowed audiences with their showstopping routine.<\/a><\/p>\n The unique piece, choreographed by internationally renowned artist Sadeck Berrabah, was intentionally created without any soloists, instead focussing on collaboration, unity and storytelling among the talented group of LMA performers.
