\n One customer turned up to the shop the following day for a “Christmas coffee only to be met with builders”.\n<\/p>\n
\n A “to let” sign had already gone up on the exterior of the building.\n<\/p>\n
\n Michael Frazer, secretary of the Greengates and Apperley Bridge Community Group, said at the time that signage had been taken down outside and inside the building and there were “no new tenants yet.”\n<\/p>\n
\n He added: “We in the Greengates and Apperley Bridge community are sad to see the closure of Costa Coffee because it means local people have lost their jobs – and we hope they can be relocated.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It was in a great location at Greengates crossroads and our community volunteers used to meet there regularly.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We also have mixed feelings because we have some fantastic independent cafes which are thriving.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The property has a “C” energy rating, with its energy performance certificate lasting until April 29, 2031.\n<\/p>\n
