The incident has fuelled criticism of what many see as an increasingly weak response by British authorities to Islamist intimidation.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n A video recording of Muslim horsemen chasing people down the streets of Manchester, United Kingdom, has been generating massive attention on several social media platforms, including X. The footage also shows police officers stopping them, exchanging a few words, and then letting them go to continue intimidating others, sparking massive outrage online.<\/p>\n According to available information, the incident happened during rival protests<\/a> organized by pro-Khamenei and anti-Iranian regime demonstrators on Thursday, 5 March. The two men on horseback are reportedly supporters of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who died<\/a> on 28 February during the initial strikes of the US\u2013Israeli military operation launched against Iran.<\/p>\n They probably did not realize, or simply did not care, that they were no longer in a country governed by Sharia law when they decided to bring horses to the protest in order to chase down and intimidate anti-Khamenei demonstrators. As the two crowds clashed, these men charged at protesters carrying the pre-Islamic Revolution Iranian flag with the Lion and Sun emblem.<\/p>\n That is already outrageous in itself, as we are not talking about Taliban Afghanistan but about one of the largest cities in the United Kingdom. However, what has sparked even greater outrage is the reaction of UK police, who basically just let them continue, according to the recording circulating online. Bystanders even asked police officers why the men were not being arrested. The answer reveals much about the current state of British authorities and how extremely submissive they are toward Islamists: \u2018With the greatest respect, what do you want me to do? Pull him off a horse?\u2019 one of the officers said.<\/p>\n The video was shared and commented on by millions of people from the UK and around the world. Many described British police as \u2018cowards\u2019 and \u2018traitors\u2019, highlighting the double standard they apply when harassing people for \u2018online hate speech\u2019 simply because they posted anti-immigration content on social media, contrasted with how they treat Islamist thugs.<\/p>\n The incident came just days after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer hosted a Ramadan iftar event in Westminster Hall on 3 March, where he praised Muslims as \u2018the face of modern Britain\u2019, adding that they are \u2018a success story when it comes to diversity\u2019. Addressing hundreds of Muslim MPs, community leaders, activists, and guests, Starmer did not miss the opportunity to explain how \u2018horrified\u2019 he was by the \u2018wave of hatred\u2019 directed toward British Muslims, attributing it to \u2018far-right rhetoric and misinformation\u2019.<\/p>\n During the same event, Starmer also clarified that\u2014despite the fact that one of the first targets of the Iranian regime\u2019s retaliatory strikes was a British military base in Cyprus\u2014London was not involved in the US\u2013Israeli joint strikes and would not participate in offensive action against Iran.<\/p>\n
