Coronation Street viewers were relieved after Theo finally ended his relationship with Todd, but fans think something else is brewing. Powerful scenes have seen Coronation Street<\/a> shine a light on the topic of physical and psychological abuse in a same sex relationship.<\/p>\n

Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) and Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) have taken centre stage in the hard-hitting domestic abuse storyline. We’ve witnessed the harrowing storyline develop from the very beginning.<\/a> Viewers watched Todd meet Theo, fall head over heels and turn his life upside down with the hopes of finding happiness with Theo.<\/p>\n

But Todd had no clue what he was getting himself into, as viewers have watched Theo transform into a terrifying abuser. With intense psychological manipulation as well as domestic violence, it’s been a really difficult watch and many viewers are hoping the storyline will soon come to an end.<\/a><\/p>\n

Fans were shocked when Theo decided to end the relationship on Tuesday.<\/a> After spending the night in his van following a nasty argument, Theo told his partner: “We should knock it on the head, finish it or whatever.” He said: “Come on we both know its over. Every nice moment we’ve had has been ruined with a fight.”<\/p>\n

The villain added: “I’m sorry for everything” before he gave his engagement ring back to Todd.<\/p>\n

While many soap fans were pleased to see Theo end the relationship after months of torture for Todd, other viewers are convinced it’s not over yet.<\/p>\n

Taking to social media, viewers said the break-up was “too easy” and think there is more to come.<\/p>\n

One said: “What’s Theo up to? That was far too easy…” while a second said: “What? So after all the months of torture, Theo just walks away?”<\/p>\n

A third said: “Theo knows full well Todd will beg to get back together. Another twisted part of his evil manipulation!!!!”<\/p>\n

A fourth Corrie fan added to the conversation on X: “I’m not complaining but I never thought Theo would break up with Todd!”<\/p>\n

More said: “It ain\u2019t over till it\u2019s over and Theo hasn\u2019t finished with us yet!” and “Theo should have been outed for his abuse!”<\/p>\n

Now their relationship is finally over, Coronation Street spoilers have recently revealed<\/a> it’s not quite the end for Todd, as Theo is set to plot his revenge in the lead up to his marathon.<\/p>\n

Next week, Glenda sets Todd up on a blind date, while Theo makes it his mission to look like he is having the time of his life while enjoying lunch with Gary.<\/p>\n
