In a post on Truth Social on Saturday, Trump said nations affected by disruptions in the strait\u2014including China, France, Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom\u2014should also send naval forces to the area \u201cin conjunction with the United States\u201d to ensure the waterway remains open and secure.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran\u2019s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships\u2026 to keep the Strait open and safe,\u201d Trump wrote.<\/p>\n
Trump said the United States had already destroyed \u201c100% of Iran\u2019s military capability,\u201d but warned that Iran could still attempt limited attacks using drones, mines or short-range missiles along the strategic waterway through which a significant portion of the world\u2019s oil shipments pass.<\/p>\n
He said Washington would continue military operations along Iran\u2019s southern coastline to prevent further threats to shipping.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water,\u201d Trump wrote.<\/p>\n
