Speaking at the India Today Conclave, <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/cricket\/players\/sanju-samson-61837\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"Sanju Samson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Sanju Samson<\/a> revealed that the rule had been made clear to every player much earlier, when Gambhir took charge of the Indian team during the white-ball tour of Sri Lanka in July 2024. That is how our character got aligned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">\u201cYes, there is a conscious effort. But when people say that I missed out on three hundreds, I feel I made a much bigger contribution. I won\u2019t say I never thought about those hundreds. As a human being, I also thought that \u2018Ek hundred ho jaye toh mazaa aa jayega. (It would be fun to score one century)\u2019 You definitely think about it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">\u201cBut then I told myself, \u2018How did you score so many runs?\u2019 So I respected the process and kept playing my shots.
