Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been praised by former star Rio Ferdinand.<\/p>\n

After his man of the match performance<\/a> in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa, Bruno Fernandes<\/a> has been taking plenty of plaudits.<\/p>\n

Fernandes provided two assists to reach 16 for the season, setting a club record<\/a>. He is closing in on the Premier League\u2019s best-ever tally of 20 in a single campaign.<\/p>\n

Former star Rio Ferdinand<\/a> believes that United\u2019s trio of new attackers will still be pinching themselves at how fortunate they are to play alongside him.<\/p>\n

Rio Ferdinand believes Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko<\/a> will all be astounded at just how good Bruno Fernandes really is.<\/p>\n

All three players have benefited from Fernandes\u2019 creativity, with the Portugal international creating more chances than any player in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Ferdinand told his YouTube channel<\/a>: \u201cHe\u2019s the best, most creative midfielder in the world right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe form that he is in, what he\u2019s producing. The game at the weekend, he put Sesko in with his left foot. Unbelievable defence-splitting pass.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe sees openings that others dream about, let alone have the audacity to try. It\u2019s phenomenal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ferdinand explained that Fernandes benefits from the runs Sesko, Mbeumo and Cunha make \u2013 but the benefit is clearly mutual.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs good as you can be yourself, you always need teammates in different capacities. And he needs people to finish off the chances he\u2019s creating. That\u2019s the great thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen those guys [Sesko, Mbeumo, Cunha] come into the dressing room, they are looking around going \u2018I\u2019ve never seen anything like this, if I run, the ball arrives\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ferdinand added that Fernandes\u2019 creativity<\/a> gives the players extra incentive to take risks, adding: \u201cIt\u2019s hard to run thinking \u2018the ball probably isn\u2019t going to come\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bruno Fernandes insists his full focus is on helping Manchester United secure Champions League football, rather than achieving individual success.<\/p>\n

He told MUTV: \u201cScoring goals and assisting is a big part of my game. I\u2019m very pleased today worked out and made us win the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil the end of the season, I want to try to keep helping the team and improving on that, results-wise.\u201d<\/p>\n
