After a solid opening time trial, Pellizzari laid the foundation for his strong overall result on the gravel section of stage two<\/a>. The exciting finale of the stage moved him up to second place in the general classification. Two days later, the Italian impressed again in the sprint and even took the race lead for a day<\/a>. Unfortunately I crashed on the final day. The pace was very high on the second climb and I tried to move up towards the front when I went down and hurt my ribs and my arm.
