{"id":482685,"date":"2026-03-18T19:20:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-18T19:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/482685\/"},"modified":"2026-03-18T19:20:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T19:20:09","slug":"town-bustling-with-shoppers-for-return-of-fakenham-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/482685\/","title":{"rendered":"Town bustling with shoppers for return of Fakenham market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The Fakenham Food Market launched on March 14 and will take place every second Saturday until December.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It was officially opened by Jerome Mayhew MP, with hundreds of people in attendance on the day.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The market was organised by Shop Fakenham in an effort to showcase the town as a vibrant retail and leisure destination.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>The market was officially opened by Jerome Mayhew MP (left) on Saturday (March 14) (Image: Linda Black)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Claire Howard, co-founder of Shop Fakenham, said: &#8220;The first market exceeded our expectations with the quality of stalls we had and the number of visitors.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;It was fantastic to see the town centre so busy on a Saturday morning with people chatting, enjoying street food and filling their bags with fantastic local produce&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Some of the stallholders included seafood from Willie Weston, gyozas from Tasty Gyoza, locally made conserves from Essence Foods and local mutton from Stark Herdwicks.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The market is scheduled to run from 9.30am to 1.30pm, with Mrs Howard adding that it will soon become &#8220;a must-visit for foodies in Norfolk&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Fakenham Food Market launched on March 14 and will take place every second Saturday until December.
