Manchester United manager Marc Skinner, speaking to BBC Sport: “I
\nthought we were the better team and had high territory. I genuinely think there was a stonewall
\npenalty, I think if we have VAR in this league it does affect. <\/p>\n

“That
\naside, I think West Ham defended really well and resolutely on a
\ndifficult pitch for both teams to play any style of football. West Ham
\nare used to it and defended well. Beating a block on a bobbly pitch is
\ndifficult.”<\/p>\n

On whether they needed to be more
\nruthless: “I’m sure there are moments where we could have been more
\nruthless but I wanted us to put West Ham on the back foot a little bit
\nmore. I felt we needed more crosses and we didn’t. There were moments we
\n could have and we turned it down and kept trying to play short – you
\njust waste time on this pitch.<\/p>\n

“As soon as they concede, they have to
\nchange their game and when they are 0-0 it is comfortable for them,
\nespecially on this pitch. When you come to this ground, you have to play
\n slightly different to the way we want to play.”<\/p>\n
