LONDON \u2014 Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey<\/a> has reached a confidential settlement with three British men who \u200bhad filed civil lawsuits at London’s High Court accusing \u200chim of sexual assault between 2000 and 2013, according to a court order made public this week.<\/p>\n

Two of the claimants were complainants who gave evidence \u200bduring Spacey’s 2023 criminal trial in London<\/a>, where \u200bthe now 66-year-old actor was acquitted of all charges.<\/p>\n

Spacey, \u2060one of Hollywood’s biggest stars before he was \u200bfirst accused of sexual assault<\/a> in 2017, has consistently denied \u200baccusations of sexual misconduct and said the incidents alleged in the lawsuits did not happen or were consensual.<\/p>\n

A court order dated \u200bMarch 13 said that the lawsuits have been stayed following \u200bthe settlement, meaning a trial that had been scheduled for October will now \u200cnot \u2060take place.<\/p>\n

Spacey’s lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A spokesperson for the claimants’ lawyers declined to comment.<\/p>\n

Spacey, who won Oscars for “American Beauty” and “The \u200bUsual Suspects”, was \u200bdropped from \u2060the TV drama “House of Cards” and removed from the movie “All the Money in the \u200bWorld” after the first allegations of sexual \u200bassault \u2060emerged.<\/p>\n

A civil lawsuit against Spacey <\/a>in the United States was dismissed by a jury in 2022, and he stood \u2060trial \u200bin London the following year, charged \u200bwith sexually assaulting four men in Britain.
