Usyk has already beaten Fury twice in 2024, handing the British heavyweight the only losses of his professional career. Despite talk of a possible trilogy, John Fury believes the outcome would not change.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Playbook Boxing, he pointed to what he sees as physical decline and time away from the ring.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s 38, he hasn\u2019t been in the ring for 18 months, and people are filling his head with nonsense. Nothing\u2019s gonna change. Tyson\u2019s getting weaker and Usyk\u2019s getting stronger.<\/p>\n

\u2018All I ever said to him was this: if I\u2019d been in his corner and he got into trouble, he wouldn\u2019t die. But if he gets into trouble with them in his corner, he could end up dead or with brain damage for life. Because when your legs are gone, you need someone to save you.<\/p>\n

\u2018They won\u2019t do that. They won\u2019t throw the towel in. They won\u2019t pull him out. Their egos are bigger than Tyson, bigger than the fight itself. And that\u2019s how people get seriously hurt in this game. You\u2019ve seen it before- one shot, bang, and it\u2019s over. It can happen just like that. It\u2019s a dangerous sport.\u201d<\/p>\n

John Fury also revealed that his relationship with his son has broken down ahead of Tyson Fury\u2019s return against Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy relationship with Tyson is destroyed. Boxing destroyed it completely\u2026I think he\u2019s past his best. I\u2019m a no-filter kind of guy \u2013 I say it how I see it. I love him, but there are too many people patting him on the back and telling him things that aren\u2019t true, building him up like he\u2019s invincible. He\u2019s not and he hasn\u2019t been for a while.<\/p>\n

\u2018Tyson has been gone since the Deontay Wilder fights, they finished him. Wilder completely done him. He\u2019s not got a leg underneath him. He\u2019s took a lot away from Tyson. Makhmudov is a problem for Tyson. I am the first one to say it.<\/p>\n

\u2018Listen, I understand now that Tyson is testing himself. But, I can tell you now, his legs aren\u2019t there anymore. I understand the only way he will believe that and see that is when the first bell rings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fury is scheduled to return on April 11 against Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, his first fight since December 2024.<\/p>\n

A third fight comes down to legs and stamina. If Fury can\u2019t stay set, hold the center, and fire combinations, Usyk\u2019s workrate and cleaner shots will take over the rounds.<\/p>\n

For now, any trilogy remains uncertain, but John Fury\u2019s view is clear on how it would play out.<\/p>\n
